There is something twisted about this lamp. The twisted lamp and shade is a twist on desk lamps you'll love. Use this as a desk lamp or modern table lamp. Its tall and impressive. I used black for the base, bronze for the lamp and gold for the shade. Each piece is printed separately and assembled using a standard bottle lamp kit. This large table lamp is entirely 3D Printed. You need only supply the lamp hardware of your choice. See additional details below for what I used.

Printing Tips

Despite what you may think, PLA is fine for making lamps. If you're using a bulb that is LED you should have no issues with melting or your works becoming soft. It takes 55c or 130F to really get it soft and most LED bulbs do not get that hot.

.16 Layer height gives a really nice look to the outside.

Tune your printer! If you want the best look make sure your printer is printing circles cleanly. I print these on an X1C which is what gives it such a great finish.
